My Swann system has been up and running for about 30 days. I am very happy with the high resolution video and reliability of the wired cameras. I was a bit disappointed that there was not clear information on how to add sound to monitoring and recording. I eventually figured it out.

I have spent days and days speaking with Swann Technical and they have finally admitted that my problems are known issues with no solution. Shame it was once a great system and now I have no option other then to buy a new sytem from an alternative supplier.

Setup is pretty easy, cables were all long enough for me to set cameras on each corner of my house. Comes with a mouse for the dvr & an hdmi cord which is nice. Definitely need to find & download the manual so you know how to adjust the settings properly. Previous review says Swann logo cannot be removed but it can.

 · Swann has very few Ultra-HD options, with most home cameras being 1080p. While this still provides good video camera footage, the 4K resolution of top Lorex cameras will make the finer details clear. One of the best cameras is their 4K 8Mp Ultra-HD video, which also uses H.265 vs. H.264 compression technology.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews, and honestly I didn't find many for this product when we purchased it, but reviews on Swann were generally positive. Setting the cameras was a bit of a pain for our apartment, since we can't drill holes, and had to install on the window frames and run the wires via the tops of the windows.
