A lost child is a parent's worst nightmare! You can remain aware, alert and assured with BuddyTag. BuddyTag is the latest child safety device that helps parents keep track of their kids when out and about. It comes with a free iOS or Android App, a bluetooth tag, a wristband with personal ID information. When the child with BuddyTag is out of the parent's proximity, My Body Tag App will sound alarm on parent's phone. If the child did get lost, the personal ID information will help in getting the child reunited with the parent. There is also a Panic Alarm on the BuddyTag, so the child can press it to let the parent know that he/she is in need of help.

“I bought one so that I could have a peace of mind when I have to take care of my nephew, who is 3 years old. I thought the design is really cool. It comes with a tag and a band. You really only need the tag to make Buddy Tag work, the wristband is used just to hold the the tag in place. The tag has a tiny hole that I used to attach to my key chain. I use it to keep track of my keys when my nephew is not with me. When my nephew is under my care, I simply take the tag out of my key chain and tie it to his shoelace. He doesn’t like anything on his wrists, so the ability to just tie to the shoelace provides the flexibility that I need.

I used Buddy Tag mainly to keep track of him, and I haven’t used it for the water safety feature. I like the fact that I can change the distance from near to far. Similar to another review I read, the near setting was too sensitive. I keep it at the far setting most of the time, and to date it has worked very well for me. I did notice couple false alarms when I have the phone cover on my phone. I took my phone cover off, and it worked well. I think my phone cover is somehow interfering the bluetooth signal on my phone, which is more of an issue with the phone cover and not with Buddy Tag.

The app is very easy to use. Buddy Tag can’t be connected to two phones at the same time. So I do have to disconnect it from my phone before I let my girlfriend connect to it. I actually think this is great because it helps determine who is in charge of watching my nephew. If it had the ability to connect to multiple phones, it would cause less supervision because we would think the other person is paying attention to the child.

I haven’t used the wristband much because I mostly attach the tag to my nephew’s shoelace. But the few times I have used the wristband, I thought it was a little difficult to put on because I need to use a coin to tighten the fastener. But with my nephew always wanting to rip off what’s on his wrists, the wristband design kept him from taking it off because he couldn't do it without a coin. haha! Love the design.” by Johnny Giron

“I purchased this after seeing a video on Facebook, MAINLY BECAUSE WE HAVE A POOL. My friend with three boys recently had one son wander off at the beach, oh the fear she had! Originally mine did not work, I had not even had time to make a formal complaint. I simply made a comment about the thing asking if it was user error or not, the company sought me out to see if i needed help and they were willing to mail me back a new one which will be here in less than two days. I can tell you from the App i did see and the quality of the band and piece it is amazing! The watch band has a screw like device so kiddos cant simply pull it off. I love the idea of using it as an anklet as well which they made it big enough for. This is going to be in all my friends stockings for Christmas and as birthday gifts for buddies, at $40 who wouldn't want the security of knowing your child is safe. The staff who called to assist me were polite helpful and so friendly. Which is really why i wanted to post this. I have bought a great product and got horrible service. I have bought a bad product and had no service in the past.But to buy a great product and have great service teams as well made me feel like this needed to be said! “I have read the reviews and am rating the item before purchase....I think the idea is great, if even a limited ability at the moment due to phone type, bluetooth strength, etc I feel those that have small children, as I do (I have 3 children twins aged 3 1/2 and a 1 year old) should try the product before discounting it. This belief is based on the simple fact that there really is no downside to the product, even if it helps monitor the children just a little. I am a full time student and we are making due with just my wife's income o I can understand the cost - benefit decision. However, I feel any parent that can afford this should, if you think about the fact you are getting a benefit for the product and helping a company that is attempting to produce an item that-in my opinion- that is a necessity in these modern times. I do not work for this company or any affiliate of any sort (like I said I don't have a job) this is just an impartial interjected opinion of a concerned parent. We will be purchasing at least 2 Buddy Tags for our twins, not sure about our 1 year old-yet.
