I don't like to rate companies badly unless they deserve it, and Avis deserves it. I am 24 (minimum car rental age is 25) but Avis will allow people under 25 to rent a car with additional insurance so I used Avis for having a car while my car is being shipped to me (I recently moved and would be without a car for a few days otherwise).

Avis Budget Milan is the most dishonest rental company. My rental car has brokedown in swiss. Calling the breakfown service many times. Booked a car through indigo with Avis… Booked a car through indigo with Avis to be picked up at 8am and dropped back off at 11pm. Upon arrival to the car lot, no workers were there. After phoning Indigo and being informed that someone might turn up at 9am, despite being able to book on the website from 8, we waited 9:15 and still, nobody arrived.

The airport isn't very big so it wasn't a huge walk from my gate to the rental car area - which is located right by the exit of the airport.
